Sizing beads or bars

Hi everyone!

What do sizing bars or beads that can be put inside a ring look like? are they big or small? comfortable? How are the added or removed? What''s the minimum size you can get with them, such as they can they make a ring 1/4 size smaller, 1/2 smaller, etc? Are they expensive? Do they make the back of your ring stick out far from your finger or are they small enough not to be noticeable to anyone while the ring is on? What are the pros and cons if any?
