Ring sizes...what is the right one?

I got my rings in Australia and am size K 1/2 or L depending on how wide it is it seems. My engagement ring is L and wedding band is K 1/2.

I keep seeing people talk about size 3 or 4 - what do they mean? What''s the equivalent and why are there different scales?

Same with shoe sizes and which side of the road to drive on. To have the same system, one side would have give in to the other. Since human nature is to resist change, you mates will have the wrong ring sizes for a while.

This is a chart that shows the different finger sizes, your ring size would be in the British system and the American equivalant is a 5 3/4 or 5 1/2
