What exactly does "surface graining not shown" on a GIA cert mean?

It means that surface graining is not shown on the plot on the report.

Here is what NiceIce says about surface graining: The comment on the lab report referring to "Surface Graining Not Shown" sounds kind of serious but it really isn''t... Surface graining is essentially a transparent line that is part of the grain of the diamond which happens to be visible across a facet junction.

I purchased a stone that is an eightstar, GIA certified , and has ex/ex. The surface graining would not affect the excellent polish grade?
