First time poster here! I'm trying to find a reasonably priced 0.90ct stone under $4000 if possible that is GIA certified that has excellent overall best light return, fire, scintillation, and spread that is I in color with an excellent cut and an HCA under 2.0? Here's some that I was looking at. Which of these 3 are the best?

#1. http://www.b2cjewels.com/Certificate.aspx?StockNo=2622175 - for $3,977.97
#2. http://www.b2cjewels.com/Certificate.aspx?StockNo=2857556 - for $3,324.52
#3. http://www.b2cjewels.com/Images//Certificate//3318996.pdf - for $4353.31 (is the extra 353 worth it?)

Seems that the jamesallen has a higher markup than b2c, but then again they show digital images unlike the 3 above. Which of these 7 are the best?

This will be my first diamond purchase, and then comes the setting. I don't mind going to an SI2 as long as the diamond is clean and the imperfections do not hinder the appearance, but excellent cut is important to get the best brilliance and fire.

Found these on price scope:

http://www.eternitybyyoni.com/diamond_detail.php?id=940963&ref=pricescope

If there are better ones to be had under $4,000, please advise!

Thank you! I've put 1546067 on hold. Can you provide some insight as to why 1546067 @ $4590 it is a better stone than 1547303 @ $4048? Should I put 1547303 on hold as well? Not doubting, just curious as to what makes it better. Also James Allen said I can pick 2 more and have their gemologist look at them all for me. Can you select one that is under $5500 and is at least 1ct?

Julie, looks like you added 2, which were 1546377 and 1547303.

OK, I put those 3 on hold. Waiting to hear back from James Allen and see if they can provide the ideal scopes so we can get an idea on those hearts and arrows!

Nice! Ill have to add that one as well! I noticed that many of the recommendations are from James Allen? Are they better than Blue Nile or B2C?

I wish GIA would include the ideal scope images in their reports.

They just provide more information. neither BN or B2C provide pictures unless requested and B2C has terrible customer service.

The gemologist at James Allen got back to me with the 3 that are on hold. Please review the attached ideal scopes. Should I go with 1546067? They relayed the following:

Thank you for your patience while waiting for the gemologist inspection and idealscope images of diamonds 1546067, 1547303, and 1546377.

I'm excited to share with you that you've selected three great diamonds that all possess great fire, brilliance, and scintillation. Each of them has an excellent cut and faces up perfectly eye clean! Of these selections, the gemologist favored diamond 1546067 (0.91crt G SI1) the most; saying that it has a true "G" color, making it the whitest diamond.

Diamonds 1547303 and 1546377 are fantastic options as well and should appear white to the average eye; they just possess some warmth when being compared to diamond 1546067. Diamond 1547303 (0.90crt I VS2) has a higher "I" color, while diamond 1546377 (0.92crt I VS2) has a warmer "I" color.

You can't go wrong with any of these options, but I encourage you to move forward with diamond 1546067 since our gemologist favored it the most.

1546377 www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/I-VS2-Excellent-Cut-Round-Diamond-1546377.asp - $4078
1547303 www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/I-VS2-Excellent-Cut-Round-Diamond-1547303.asp - $4048

I'm still standing by my original choice of 1546067! But you have to decide if it would be worth the extra $500. I like the G colour. Next would be the 1547303, then the 1546377, if I was choosing.

Good luck!

I differ on this comment with 04diamond<3.
From my personal experience with B2C and BN, they have been very supportive and knowledgeable specially the staff at B2C.
I have spoken with couple of them at B2C when we were searching for our diamond rings and they were very helpful.
We spoke with Ben and Ricky, and I am sure you will not be disappointed after talking to them.
Their range of diamonds is vast and their prices are simply the besssstttt, and of course all certified diamonds.
If you tell them you are coming from PS, you get special price as a PS customer.
If you have time in your hands, try out B2C.

Good Luck :loopy:

I was talking about having the information available online without having to wait. And that's great that you had a good experience with B2C. Not something that happens very often.
