martini setting... do they increase the piercing hole size

I am in the contemplating/ thinking of next project.

I am looking a small studs for second ear piercing hole. I would like to have them sit close to the ear. hence the martini setting...
i like the look of the cocktail and classic martini settings from BGD. But i have heard from ppl these settings can increase the piercing hole, which i thought was interesting...

Any thoughts on:
1) martinis increasing piercing hole size
2) classic martini v cocktail martini.

I had pointy martini settings for my previous studs and found them uncomfortable. The pointy end would dig into the piercing and irritate it. It also slightly enlarged the piercing over time. As much as I like the look of martini settings, i switched to 4 prong basket for my current studs.

The martini setting is at the top of the finding and is immaterial to the post diameter, which is the same as any other earring.

(yes, i know you can get different diameter posts, but most are the same)

I am leaning more the the 4prong basket now.... more for the aesthetic reasons..
the primary stud is square.
the secondary stud, being a basket setting, will give it the appearance of a square in keeping with the primary stud...
