I was referred by a ring designer webpage to one of his authorized dealers. The quote from a number of their dealers for this paricular 18k white gold eternity band set with G-H VS diamonds was consistently around $2100. But one of their authorized dealers claimed that he was also a "wholesaler" and thus can get it for $1500 but in F-G VS. Is this "dealer/wholesaler" undercutting his designer? I did managed to find another authorized dealer that quoted around $1500 for the same model eternity band set but in H color and "I"clarity. The melees are tiny ...around 0.10c each totally around 1.0c. Is the "wholesaler" passing on the H color, I clarity as if it''s was F-G VS since the diamonds are so tiny and a typical comsumer wouldn''t know the difference? What you all think?
