Diamond for my solitaire necklace

Hi all,
I posted sometime back about Halo diamond necklace. BTW, my Simon G ring is still not here. It has been 4 weeks since I ordered it !!
Anyways, for our 10th Anniversary, I have a budgest of 5k to buy whatever

I tried some diamond studs and some solitaire necklaces. And I think the earrings won''t show much at all, so I defer it to a later purchase

I am now strongly thinking about necklace. Not decided Halo or just a solitaire. Need to try out some Halo settings.
I bought my E-ring from GOG, and I would buy the diamond from them again, since I could physically see the stone !!
I read in previous posts that, we could even go to J/SI. My e-ring is I/VS2, but since H&A it sparkles like crazy. I am also planing to set this in yellow gold. So,h aving this budget, considering that this is for a necklace, what quality of diamond should I look for? I am only going to buy H&A and it will be nice if I could get closer to 1 ct. Please let me know about your thoughts.

I love simple diamond solitaire necklaces...with a 1c stone that would just be divine.

I''d put any of those stones in a simple 4 or 3 prong platinum setting for about $300-400 and call it a day. Of course since I want the biggest stone possible I''d drop to SI2 and get as big a stone possible for the $5k (or maybe a little over? hehee).

No I or J stones came up in my PS search unfortunately, but maybe new ones are coming in soon? HAVE FUN!
