Hi ladies,

I'm wondering if it is possible to have miligrain edging added to a plain wedding band. Also, if a ring has miligrain, it is possible to resize it without causing too much of a disruption in the pattern?

Thanks!

I think bands already made with milgrain will be more satisfactory because they have a little lip where the milgrain is.

Example: http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Item.aspx?sku=GRP00375

Another: http://www.amazon.com/Ladies-Comfort-Milgrain-Wedding-Sterling/dp/B001DG96TQ

I think it would entirely depend on how the plain band is made. Some would not be made right to add the milgrain. I don't know about resizing. I am sure some benches are good enough to do it and others might mess up the ring!

Usually, yes you can, but it is sort of a PIA job. Same with the sizing. It takes a bit of talent and the right tools but usually it can be done.
