Antique Diamond Upgrade Quandry

Hi everyone!

I have a 2.60 Q transitional with an egl that I'm looking to replace.. I found a 2.29 M OEC with the same face up (8.70) and I know it's a little shallow (5.1) but I like the whiter shade of it.

I'm not sure if it's the best decision price wise, the M is more than the one I have for sale (8k) Basically I would be paying more for a whiter stone with the same spread.

I'll post pictures of the 2 stones once I have them so it can be compared.

Has anyone done the same (upgrade same face up size for a whiter stone) and regretted it?

I think whether it is a good decision depends on what your reasons are for the upgrade. Are you looking to upgrade because you want a higher color? A bigger spread? A better cut? A stone that is certified by a different lab? Etc.What are the rest of the specs on both stones?
