Advice wanted for Tiffany Novo replica - Cushion style/size

Hi All,

It has been several days of reading up on engagement rings after coming home from work, and then trying to fall asleep with my head spinning with all the different options and customizations I have to choose between. I need some help

I know my GF likes the style of the Tiffany Novo (she made some off-handed comment when her sister got engaged a couple of years ago, which I luckily caught!), in particular the cushion cut diamond and solitaire or Pave is the way to go. Here are my questions:

1/ Diamond size. I'm looking around 1ct, her finger/ring size will be about a 6.5 I think. do those proportions work with the Novo setting?

2/ Diamond selection. I have read a bunch on the diamond used in the Novo, and understand that this is about what I should be looking for:

It would be great if people with experience on the Novo could chime in here with a few options or at least the spec's of the shape, style, important measurements/ratios I should be selecting within. my budget would be <7K for the diamond, and I've seen some good options in the 5-6K range.

3/ Settings - I think all the advice I need regarding Novo replicate settings is already available in these forums. I am interested in any Vancouver, Canada locals which have had a replicate designed/made locally.

4/ Is there a way to avoid tax etc throughout this process?

OK, I really need help choosing the diamond. I like the following:

Then recently found this on Blue Nile:

The 0.906 is near the top of my budget but I could stretch to the 1ct options if the 0.9 is going to appear too small. Will it? and what about the BN diamond compared to the BG diamonds?

Her Ring size is actually 5.75. And I would like to go for the Brian Gavin Novela setting:

I would say stay within your budget. The .9 will be a beautiful diamond.

If you do want to get up to 1ct, the blue nile will look great too.

I would go for larger than the .90 if possible. And really, going with a BG stone is going to be the easiest solution since you want his setting. I'd go for the 1 ct H. It wll definitely have a larger appearance.

I also recommend you go for the BG Legara over the Novella as the Novella will look better with a larger stone since it is a larger setting. The Legera is in the Novella collection. It will save you a little money and make it easier for you to go with the larger diamond!
