fraudulent JewelryPot diamonds on Ebay

We purchased both a womens diamond set and a mens wedding band from JewleryPot on Ebay. After 1 month the womens set had 3 diamonds FALL OUT of it, JewleryPot would not answer calls or return emails asking about servicing of the ring and Ebay will not allow contact with the seller past 30 days of purchase. So I took it into 3 local jewelers. Each REFUSED to work on such a "poor piece of jewelry." I had it appraised by all 3. The ring was marked a better cut, color, and especially clarity than advertised. It had a black inclusion that not only was visible to the naked eye but made it appear as though there was a crack down the right side of the ring. JewelryPot valued the ring at $5000+, and when it was appraised with inclusion by a local jeweler they appraised it at $300, which was the weight in gold since the diamonds, "were of such poor quality".

The mens band was purchased at the same time, and after 2 weeks of wear the white gold had turned to a grey'd yellow. Again, no answer, no service but a complete screw job. We were taken for close to $6000 from JewleryPot and I want to warn anyone purchasing from this seller on Ebay that they are not what they advertise to be and it is impossible to get ahold of them or a refund.

Buyer beware, JewelryPot is a scam and Ebay doesn't monitor this seller.

Very interesting post.

I also fell victim to this fraudulent seller, last month I purchased some jewelery, upon arrival the quality of the gold looked cheap compared to my current gold collection, sadly I didn't have it tested by a professional company until a couple of weeks after purchase, turns out my $950 purchase of jewelry is fake and worth nothing.

I wouldn't recommend jewelrypot to my worst enemy. www.jewelrypot.com avoid at all costs.

Hi, My husband bought me a birthday present from the jewelrypot ebay store, if only we had looked at other reviews before we made this decision, the quality of the ring was horrendous, the first thing we noticed apart from the inaccurate description was the mixed color of the ring, the weight was incorrect and the color of the gold appeared to be chipping away into a more silvery/gray color.

I had the ring tested by professionals one day one, who all advised me to return it as soon as possible, they tested the ring, I took in my original invoice and they wrote me a report to confirm that it wasn't actually. they told me it was most likely gold plated before they even began the test, the $549.00 ring was gold plated.

Luckily for us we had paid through Paypal, after a month of returning the ring back to jewelrypot, Paypal eventually issued us with a full refund, including postage charges, saying that it did take an awful lot of effort to get Paypal to side with us.

They never replied to my emails, the feedback I left magically disappeared, I rang Ebay but they were reluctant to help, they didn't even want to take the reports I have from the jewelers, in fact all they did was tell me that they were going to make a note of this against the seller.

If we would have paid on the www.jewelrypot.com website I am sure we wouldn't have received the refund, I have now decided not to purchase jewelry online, me and my husband will be sticking to the highstreet in the future, I would advise anybody thinking of buying from the jewelrypot store to think twice.

Amanda.
