Since there is no univeral grading system that all vendors use, you have to look at what they say at their site. Finding a vendor that you trust is difficult. Once you do,it's easy to buy.

For the akoyas the big difference between the 2 grades is going to be luster, its not a HUGE difference but it certainly noticeable.

It sounds like AAA is what I need to go with. Who knew pearls were like diamonds.....

Oh pearls are MUCH better then diamonds.
