And...I am ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, it was such a lovely trip.
On our last night there, we were wandering around Old-town Montreal. Down at the water, there are these little pedal-boats. The water surrounds a little island where people can sit and relax. Just up from the water, there is a courtyard that is surrounded by little cafes, bars and restaurants. In the courtyard, artists draw portraits, musicians play their instruments and people wander around enjoying it all.
Anyway, we took out one of the little pedal-boats at night...so all the little lights were turned on...and the sounds of music were drifting down from the courtyard. It was a beautiful, clear night.
We were peddaling around the little island...I wasn''t paying attention, because I was looking up the stars, and listening to the sounds of the music drifting down from the courtyard and the sound of the water lapping up against the side of the boat. I accidently broke the pedal on my side of the boat. I got all upset and was getting worried.
Next thing, he says "I''ve got bad news...". I thought he was talking about the boat...I thought "WHAT''S WRONG WITH THE BOAT NOW!". I asked what was going on, and he says "Well, the bad news is that you are going to have to put up with my crap for the rest of the life....but the good news is that I will always be here to take care of you"...and then he said a whole bunch of mushy stuff that I''d prefer to keep to myself (
). Then he pulls out a ring box and takes my hand and says "Will you marry me?".
AHHHHHHH
I of course began to cry and said yes.
We sat in the little boat cuddling and talking. It was lovely!!!
Anyway, I don''t have any pics of the proposal. I forgot to get the digital card from him before he left. So, all I have are some pics I took of the area the next day and some pics I took of the ring when I got home. They are not very good pics...it is surprisingly hard to take a picture of a ring!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for all your support over these months.
