Hallmarks

Hi there,
Im new to this site so please be gentle!!

I have just inherited a ring from the 1930''s and Im trying to find out what the hallmark means....
Just wondered if any of you out there can help?
Its got

oct(in a box) HS (in a diamond) PLAT (in a box) then a star with 369 at the end
