Hot on the heels of Steal's "What do you consider a waste of money" thread...what are you happy to spend full price or bucko bucks on? Housing doesn't count!

-Purses but only if they are constructed well
-Skincare - I'll happily drop $100+ on something if makes my face look like I was 15.
9.gif

-Soap - I have sensitive skin and don't tend to wear perfume so I like to splurge on frou frou soap
-Wool coats
-Books
-Cheese
-Tea
-Bread -- love, love, love bread
-Travel stuff
-Plants/seeds

Ditto on the skin care. I buy the $100 night creams and eye serums. My husband hates it, but my skin is smooth as a baby''s bottom

I buy my daughter a ridiculous amount of clothing and shoes. She outgrows it in 6 months, but it makes me happy.

I will without fail spend money on fresh food, like sushi. Can''t do sushi from the grocery store, it has to be freshly prepared. Mmmmm... Also organic fruit and veggies, even though it is more expensive. I feed my daughter almost all organic and have almost totally converted myself.

And socks. I love socks, can''t get enough.

Houses. I wasn''t too thrilled in the beginning, but we have 3, and love them all. FLA and Nantucket are the secondary residences.

Education. We spent a lot educating our kids.

Vacations- Miss CB in Antigua.

Great food.

Cashmere... Yeah my husband and I live in it....

Oh and since DD got back from Switzerland, my homeland... Swiss Chocolate.... Nothing else compares...

*designer shoes and handbags - I''ve lost too many shoes to "lesser" brands that don''t hold up
*quality food - both eating out and at home
*going out for coffee - some days there''s nothing like a Starbucks (or other coffee shop)
*Philosophy shower gels - they make my showers that much more enjoyable
*nail polish - I figure I almost never pay to get them done so it''s still cheaper!
*flowers - they make me happy even if they only last a week
*books - I reread books constantly so not really a waste

My husband - if I could I''d buy him anything he ever wanted.
My kitty - she is our firstborn, after all.
Camera equipment - I go for quality, not necessarily price.
Our soon-to-arrive baby - he is going to be spoiled rotten, I just know it.

- A great breakfast out in a beautiful space. It''s my favourite meal of the day...and even better, when I get to enjoy it with my fiance...it''s such a romantic way to start the day.

- Pedicures...love ''em. No price is too high to have pampered tootsies.

- Imported British sweeties. Particularly Scottish Macaroon Bars.

- Our yearly trip to Vegas. Always a blast

Good food!
Going places.
I like buying things for my nephews. Usually educational toys and sometimes just plain cute stuff.
Gym membership. Bootcamp.

Those are what I don''t feel bad spending money on.

- Health. My PCP keeps me on a retainer but he is one of "TOP 100 Internists in the US" so I am happy to pay to stay in his practice.
- Education for my kids
- Anything educational for myself
- Books
- A good nanny for my 6 year old
- Gifts to teachers; donations to schools ("full price" doesn''t apply but still)
- Travel
- Anything that I feel my kids really need
- Hair stylist
- gifts to friends
- it is difficult to explain in one word, but sometimes I see a dress, a purse or a pair of shoes in a store; I know it is expensive but it is of my favorite color or I simply know that it may not "live" up to sale, then I snatch it

I''d really look at consumer websites before I invest into creams or cosmetics. 90% of the cost of expensive creams is advertising, and the only FDA-approved anti-aging substance is isotretinoin cream. This being said, Shiseido cosmetics feels very nice - I''d pay for it whether it does its job or not.

- if I decide to do plastic surgery, I''d invest into one of the best surgeons. And an anesthesiologist on site.
