They suspect it slept on discarded green paint and the green got spread around when the cat tried to clean itself.
They tried catching it to clean it but were unsuccessful; apparently it's a feral cat.

Poor thing. :(sad

The cat has a lovely sweet face, whatever its colour.

Oh my... is that for real? I can't believe how evenly the paint seems to be distibuted -- right down to the fur on the inside of its ears.

That's a really green cat. I wonder if it's real?

I don't have a cat, but don't they lick their entire bodies, then use their paws to clean their head/ears by repeatedly licking and rubbing, licking and rubbing?

I watched the videos. This is a hoax. C'mon guys. Green whiskers? That color is so fake and flat. No tones or depth in the color of the fur.
My husband is a photographer, and you would be amazed at the magic of photoshop, with filters, colors, and endless other effects.

I've seen animals dyed with coolaid in that color, but I think this is a photoshop assignment escaped from the classroom, or a deliberate human intervention. No cat would get such even color coverage by accident (the cat wouldn't get the back of it's head).

If it's a hoax I think it's funny.
If real I think it's sad.

FWIW, I couldn't find an entry on Snopes.com about a green cat.

If it is real then some human(s) deliberately did that to that cat.
Hoping it's a hoax.

It does look too even and perfect to be real.

This. Plus, wouldn't there be some green on the edges of his tongue. Some discoloration, at least.
