I saw that this morning. The color of the diamond was intense canary yellow. It was amazing and it wasn''t even cut or polished yet. What an unbelievable find.

What''s up with yellow diamonds in Arkansas? My topic on the hubub over Hilary''s ring produced info on a yellow diamond she wore that was from there. Is there a mine we don''t know about?

Hey MR ~

How about we jump a flight down there and find out? I got a couple of shovels and some garden gloves!

Man, If I found something like that in my backyard, I'd have to go rent some heavy equipment and start digging!

(I think my hubby would be running towards me with one of those lil' white jackets if I started to do that!)

The diamond mine in south west Arkansas is called, The Crater of Diamonds state park. It is an actual state park where for a fee, you can dig in the lamporite searching for diamonds. If your lucky, or knowledgeable enough, you could in fact find a natural fancy yellow diamond. There are also white, and brown found at the "Crater". My family has been there several times, and have actually found diamonds. Not a yellow yet, but some nice browns, and white diamonds.

there has been diamond rough found all over in the US from ND/ND/MN to Arkansas and sapphire and garnets in Montana.

The badlands of SD are being scoured as we speak because the geology is the same as where the some of the Canadian diamonds are coming from.
Some areas in MN are similar to the areas in Canada where the diamonds are being pulled out from under lakes.
