In the section of NSC''s website where matched pairs of stones are listed I have noticed in the yellows alone that the pictures of the pairs show the same stone, as it were, next to itself. In many of these the pictures the stones is flipped mirror image. In others the picture is rotated, but is still the same picture. Not even 2 different pics of the same stone. I suppose there''s not much new under the (internet) sun.

It wasn''t so very long ago that there was a spate of schilling going on behalf of the Natural Sapphire Company (they all crawled back into the woodwork pretty quickly). Then a lady introduces herself to us as their customer representative (sorry, don''t remember her name). I don''t think I''ve seen her post since.

But this latest turn of events really does take the biscuit. Absolutely outrageous.

It seems most of their pairs have been treated to this kind of deceit.
This last "pair" is about a 175 degree rotation. What were they thinking? Could someone have not noticed when they bought these. The faked pair picture is even on the "certificate" from NSC!

I''ve seen other vendors quite a few times using the same pic for both stones, or using mirror images, but rotation is something new to me. They''re really not doing themselves any favours with this (to put it mildly).

Wow. And not a good wow at all.

I agree with Gailey - between the shilling and this, I am not very comfortable with NSC. I wonder if the representative will step foward now. I am very interested in hearing what she has to say on this.

Well they certainly are showing their pairs as perfectly matched. Hmmm...that would bother me enough not to buy.

I think it is crazy that they even put the doctored photos on their ersatz certificates. Kind of undermines the secure feeling your supposed to get from having a certificate. But then these aren''t independent third party certs, I guess they''re just sales props.

I like this picture for the full on Rorschach effect:

It would take a real artist to make a pair like this! I''ve always thought NSC just puts up the native cuts as they get them and only recuts something if they are expecting 5 figures or more

Yea...just wow. I already thought their prices were quite high... now this? I don''t think I will EVER buy from them...they don''t make me feel "safe" about purchasing from them at all.. I wonder if all the pictures have been enhanced in some way as well... They are destroying their reputation, whatever is left of it anyway...how sad.
