I wanted to share a few pretties....
Please be kind, these are all i-phone pics and I am kind of new to this.
I just wanted to show my Aquamarine, my Rubellite, and my Morganite!
I am really happy with these stones,
so here they are in no particular order
Welp, the colors don't seem as nice now that I have posted them
compared to how I see them on my monitor at home!
But I can sure see my dried up crone hands in all their glory !!!
Bob has really stepped up the customer service with his new associate Rebecca,
so yeah, I am really happy with my little stones!
I think they're all very pretty and so well cut! Bob can have some very nice stones. I agree about his assistant. I'm very glad that he has someone taking care of the customer service end for him.
Thanks HereKittyKitty and Arcadian !
I know they are relatively humble stones, but to me they are sparkly and good!!!!
Yes, I am happy that the little Bob Kast episode is behind me
Once Rebecca appeared, everything was squared away expediently....
I don't know what I am going to do with them,
I have a few other little projects going, so I think they
are just going to be my unset pretties for awhile....
But one thing is for sure!
I polished my nails this morning and used tons of hand lotion
Those stones are all really pretty! I love the chubby pear morganite Delicate pinks and peachy-pinks are my downfall with gems!
Is the aqua that one that Bob sent you a while back when you were waiting for one of his stones (hope I don't have you mistaken with someone else!)?
Beautiful stones; Bob's stones are just pieces of joy. Congratulations! From my own experience, his rubellites look better in prongs and lose some sparkle when bezeled. JMO.
Hi Babynurse: Yep, I love the little morganite too! I have a little bit of an "Aquamarine problem", then I thought it would be fun to get a representative of each the beryls.... I really like the color of my morganite, it is very subtle and attractive!
and yes, that is my little star shaped aqua that Bob sent after the rubellite that I "ordered" was lost in the mail.....
yssie, I have a fondness for pears too! I now have 4 ! the chubbier, the better!
Thanks, crasru, I am loving the rubellite, I will take your advice and have it prong set when it is time!
Lovinggems, yes, I agree, team Bob and Rebecca now rock!
Davi: hey go ahead! Time for some more additions to your Rainbow!!!!!
Shiny,
Don’t worry about the colour in the pictures. I’ve recently realized that once posted, PS seems to deflate the colours of gemstones a notch. I’m surprised how blue the aquamarine is because usually they tend to be pale and washed out.
Hi chrono: Thanks, you are so right about the colors....too bad though!
I would say in real life the aqua comes closest to the very first picture for color, but I was amazed to see the second
picture when I uploaded it from my i-phone, so I posted it!
No Way, is it that blue, but wouldn't it be nice!
It's still pretty and I love the cut
Hi Jacking my own thread, but I tried to take a few pictures of my lovely Amethyst pendant,
since there is a thread about Amethyst going on right now...
NO WAY can I get the color to match that stone!
IRL it is sooooo different!!!!
I was standing outside with a mirror and my camera, so I know EXACTLY what I was looking at and what my camera "saw"
It is a JKT Amethyst pendant that she had on her site for a very long time.
It is a Cindy Stair rose cut Amethyst, 9mm, in 18 ct gold with 4 tiny diamonds on the sides...
I admired that pendant ever since I first noticed it, and finally purchased it when she had
her sale... I am really really happy with it, my first Amethyst...
I can understand what people love about them, and would love to own another!
I know you love beautiful Amethyst, thanks for the kind words ...
Thanks TL ! It is partly because of your recommendation of him, that I was
obsessed with getting a BK rubellite.... heh
I am really happy I did, I love the stone
Hi Chrono: It was amazing how the color didn't come close! I don't really know how to explain it, but it is like a little light goes on inside the stone and it glares out pure violet light. Not all the time, mind you....but it's pretty cool to see it. Inside, it can look much darker and more mysterious with glints of red (if you squint yer eyes )
Thanks, Herekittykitty, Aoife, and Arcadian: Thanks for y'alls kind comments, it's nice to hear!
The amethyst pendant seems to get noticed more by MEN I work with, for some reason!!!!
