Lets say you get married at city hall on a weekday (since they aren''t open on weekends) and have a lunch or dinner reception on another day (weekend). Which one would be your wedding anniversary date?? The date you signed your marriage license?

the city hall day. It''s when you''re official, the luncheon is peripheral really. Either way, congrats!

I''d say it''s the City Hall day. But if you''d rather celebrate your anniversary on your reception date, why not?

I think you can pick, since your anniversary is really only going to be celebrated by you and your husband/wife.

For example, my fiance and I are getting married September 3 (Labor Day weekend) and have decided that we''ll consider Labor Day weekend our anniversary instead of September 3rd, so we can always go away for the weekend!

But technically--Paula is right...
