Hi everyone, here's a link to Mandarine's original thread https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/show-me-your-bouquets.68284/ I know I've found it incredibly helpful to see what others have chosen for their bouquets and centrepieces – colour and flower wise. So, I was thinking since it’s been a year since the last post in Mandarine’s thread maybe some of the new brides would like to share real and/or inspiration pictures of with us soon-to-be brides and LIW’s.TIA

Here is a picture of mine (the top of my bouquet, it was the best picture of the flowers themselves). I LOVED them! They were done by Out of the Woods in San Francisco:

Neat, your bouquet was gorgeous! I lurve your flowers and the colours you selected! I'm a huge fan of hot pick flowers; they're so vibrant and cheery. What a great start to the thread - thank you!

Just a few from my inspiration file... I love something different about each of these, but I think in the end (if the end ever comes ;-) I''ll end up having my bouquet made up of the flowers with meanings that I love... ie - peonies mean good fortune and a happy marriage. Anyway... here are the ones I love!

Oh Glitterazzi, you've got great taste! I like all those bouquets you posted. I

peonies too! They're one of my favourite flowers and I'd love to have a bouquet of white ones like this Meresal posted in another thread, but I'm not sure they'll be an option in the Dominican Republic in April

Also, I love the colour combination of the second and sixth bouquets you posted. I'm leaning towards something similar for my sister/MOH.

I LOVE peonies too!!! I so want them for my bouquet but, like you Pocahontas, I don''t think they''re doable in Mexico.

Very ''candle light''!

I LOVE these flowers!! I could only envision deep reds and purples for our day, so that''s what we did...but this gorgeous apricot theme is stunning!! I saw this bouquet in a bridal magazine somewhere and couldn''t find it again. I''m glad you posted it, I''ll send it to my engaged girlfriends!!

Muffin your colors are exactly what I envision for my wedding. Whenever I try to explain it I get this blank look from people...I''m sooo glad you posted your bouquet...It''s what I''ve been looking for to help explain what I''m seeing in my head

I''m so glad you love them!!!!! My mom had no idea what I was talking about and thought I was crazy to have such dark colors at our wedding, but after she saw it she TOTALLY got it. We got more compliments on the flowers than anything else!! They were stunning and so dramatic and beautiful!!

What did your centerpieces look like if you don''t mind sharing? I just looked through your wedding pictures (which are beautiful by the way) and I don''t remember seeing centerpieces.

I''m just in love

with your colors (pretty much the whole theme of you wedding really)

I''m not engaged yet (by the end of the year though)...BF and I have decided on a winter wedding next year and I just love the idea of the warm, very intimate feeling the purples, reds, blacks, etc give off...especially with the contrast of snow outside...

Pocahontas,

Hope this makes you feel better.......
I lived in Dominican Republic for a number of years and my now fiancee would send me flowers about twice a month. The arrangements that I used to get were breath taking. Nothing like what you see here. There seems to be a tremendous variety of flowers that flourish in warm weather and they also import many from places like South America. Now I am not saying that they are going to be cheap, but beautiful they will be indeed!

Good luck!!!!

On the left: our centerpieces (we didn''t specify what we wanted but I really liked how they turned out)

On the right: my sister''s bouquet (she was my MOH) on the left, and mine on the right. I wish I had better photos of the flowers but my photographer didn''t get any close up photos of them.

. The colors were perfect and it just suited us so well. I love vintage inspired things, so the whole wedding was supposed to have a sort of retro feel. Another theme was wine...we love to drink wine and we honeymooned in Napa, so all of the tables are named after types of wine. Plus the flowers were wine colors. I attached a pic of the arrangements

One more...he didn''t put pictures of any of the reception stuff in our slideshow, so here''s one of a tables with the flower arrangement. We have 500 pictures on another site, but I thought the slideshow was just enough for the PSers!! Let me know if you want a link to the full gallery.

Congrats on your impending engagement!! I remember how that felt!! I was really ready for my ring ;D and when it finally happens you are going to be so happy and so excited!! And you have so much to look forward to!! Being engaged is a really joyful time and being married is even better!!

LL, thank you for this! On an intellectual level I know I don''t have anything to worry about because of course it''s the Caribbean and they’ll have lots of beautiful flowers. But, not having travelled to the DR it''s hard not to be a bit anxious of the unknown, ya know? So I really appreciate you taking the time to post this
