I know there are lots of them out there. Maybe we can have them in one place (makes it a lot easier to look at jewelry **** late at night ;-))

Here are my two vintage stones. The larger is a .91 OEC ring and the smaller is a .47 OEC in a pendant.

Here are my two. I'm hoping to add another one to the mix soon.

The first is my new (to me) vintage emerald 5 stone. All of the diamonds are old cut.

The second is my Barbara bezel which I luuuffff and wear almost every day.

Here's a little OEC I found on eBay a while ago, and had set into a rose gold bezel. It's a .53ct E VS.

Elliemay, the facet pattern on your stone is amazing. This is what I'm looking for in my dream diamond.

Tee hee!!! show that little pretty off --- I love it!

Saw it today at 30x magnification, while at the appraisers for my ering. The inclusion is soooooo cool!! It looks like a little piece of tiny fluff suspended in glass! Kind of like when you get an insect in amber! (wait... i mean that in a cool way not a 'my stone has a bug' way!! )

He really liked the OEC stone, too, and showed me some setting ideas for it, for the future. Appraiser and goldsmith agreed that a floating bezel set would be perfect for it and I showed him the BGD Barbara - they loved it!

Cool Enerchi! Did they have any rough estimates of color or clarity grading? I am curious as I never had that done.

He said it was lower colour and I threw out J/K/L? but he didn't commit to anything for colour or clarity just that he thought it was a really nice stone. Measured it to be 5.22mm. Said if I set it with them they would include an appraisal with it. The goldsmith drew out a few variations on the Barbara back that they could do. Very simple thin bezel (milgrain was optional but they didn't go OOOOh/AAAAh when I suggested it) and then he thought 2 thin wires for the chain to slide thru. I think the Barbara has 3 like a petal effect, he thought 2 in a "V" but very shallow depth for the chain to slide thru. They would take off the chain loop, slide the chain thru the wires at the back, then re solder on the chain closure loop so it would be permanently affixed and never slip off the chain. They will price it for me when I pick up the ering.

They spent way more time with me and I had about 3 people fawning over me, bringing me cappucino's and treats because I was onsite when a woman passed out and we had to call 911! Due to low BP, a customer fainted and ??? possible seizure. Her DIL was yelling something repeatedly and I came out of the room with the appraiser to find out "WTH was all this noise"? I see the shop filled with people just standing there with the DIL screaming in panic over her MIL. I ran over - "I'm a nurse, can I help?" - and then just went into auto mode. Got her down, positioned her so she had better blood flow, stayed with her till 911 arrived, queried what meds she was on and any health conditions once she was alert and lucid again, went over the interventions w the paramedics, then went back to my ring. Fun way to kickstart the visit! I felt a free diamond would have been a sufficient thank you, but settled for the caffeine!

*sorry for the detour on the thread Athenaworth!*

So many prettys! I have been looking for a slightly higher color stone. I know they are hard to find, but I'm determined to.
