My journey has ended - Here's my RING

I thought it was high time to post pics of my anniversary ring upgrade...My hubby and I will celebrate 25 years this February 14th and I got these rings presented to me on Christmas morning...The pics are not the best and I apologize but I do more and better ones, I promise. Specs:

The Engagement Ring

carat: 1.21 cushion brilliant- center stone from GOG
girdle: 6.71 x 5.71 x 4.27
clarity: SI2
depth: 74.8%
table: 57%
color: H
symmetry: good
polish: very good
flouresence: None

3/4 French pave'' set diamonds around the shank, 32 total, with 0.1 pointers surrounding the basket that embraces the center stone, and 3/4 up on the prongs, and 0.2 pointers on the shank. The pave'' set diamonds Topper used were all either VVS2-VS1.

2 Wedding Bands

24 0.2 pointer diamonds mounted 3/4 around the band French pave'' set. Total carat weight of diamonds on rings= 2.54
tcw. All diamonds used on these rings are VS1-VS2.

Actually, yes. On the e-ring, 0.1 pointers were used surrounding the basket that forms a bracelet around the diamond. The 0.2 pointers were used on all 3 rings, 3/4 down the shank...As for how big they are? When the pics load, you will see on my big hands and fingers they will not appear to be that big, but to me, they are MUCH easier to see than the Ritani kind that I had tried on. It suits my fingers better, I feel...

As for the side stones, I think that yours are probably 1 and 2 pointers...

When you say they are 0.1 point, it looks like you mean that they are 10 points each. The way to put a 10 point stone is.10 carat. The way to put a 1 point stone is .01 carat. Technically, a diamond that is 0.1 point is 1/10 of ONE point. Too tiny to see!

Think in terms of percentages. A diamond that is .1 carat is 10 percentage points or 1/10 of a carat.

A diamond that is .2 carats is 20 percentage points or 2/100 of a carat...or if you reduce...1/5 carat.

So a one point diamond would be .01 (1/100) and a two point diamond is .02 (2/100).

I'm betting yours are .01s and .02s. A side stone of .20 would be more like you'd see in a three stone ring.

That's what I thought because if she has 24 .20 diamonds, that would be 4.80 (almost 5.0 TCW) carats of diamonds!
