What is considered a timeless setting? I know the Tiffany is timeless but its a little plain for my taste. I want something that I wont get bored of in a few years.

I looked into the Vatche Royal Crown setting (gorgeous) but it is completely of his range and I know that. Beautiful Pave Setting

OR maybe the the full cut shared prong eternity setting.

How can I decide? The center stone.. we have already selected is a 1.25, its a nice size color and clarity, so I dont want the setting to overpower the center stone.

So confused...

what shape is your centerstone?

A classic look will always be a thin band with the center stone, but like you said it''s plain, but it''s something that has truly standed the test of time and will forever be "classic"

a second classis look would be a plain band with two smaller side stones, still plain but with alittle more bling, you could always put in coloured stones like sapphire or rubies to make it a little more interesting but it will be classic looking.

The center stone is round.

I had been thinking about the tiffany setting, never realized how pretty it is. and someone else had suggested a wedding band with diamonds (for sparkle)

Never realized how hard this could be =)

I was also considering this and the matching wedding band:

Have you tried on lots of settings yet? I found that settings i was absolutely in love with didn't always look as great on me in person. And the plainest settings often looked the best (again on me). So although I LOVE the look of pave for example and halos, they just don't look great when viewed in the context of my whole self!

Roundabout way of suggesting trying a heap of different settings in person

I like the idea of a setting with sidestones. Either pears or baguettes
