"Edie" - My Vintage-Inspired 2.46 EGL L/VS2 Ring From OWD

It took me a while to find the right fit for my ering replacement - I tried a cushion, a transitional , modern settings, vintage settings - but I finally landed on what really made my heart go pitter-patter. Adam at OWD helped me find a spectacular classic OEC, just a bit under 2.5 carats and for the icing on the cake, a reproduction vintage setting that is unbelievably beautiful. I've named her little Edie Beale because she's a little old, a little wonky, and clearly the product of some lunacy on my part

Here are the specs: 2.46 EGL L/VS2, 8.52*8.34*5.39, depth 63.9%, table 40%. And a few moody photos.

Okay, I had the pleasure of seeing this ring in person, and as beautiful as the photographs are ... they just don't do it justice!

Speaking as an obsessive vintage aficionado, this is one of the prettiest, best-made settings I've had the pleasure of viewing, and the stone! Oy, what a beauty. In person, it's a perfect fireball. That 40% table is my new goal in OEC shopping!

Oh I absolutely love this! Wow, what a beautiful stone, love the tiny table! (mine is 43% ) And the setting is amazing, it looks like an authentic vintage setting that is in really good shape lol! GemFever - having checked out the markings inside the band, I'm fairly certain it's a repro that was done by a shop in your area. I checked in with them and they said it looked like something they might have done.

Circe - I'm amazed that you could see it amid all of the incredible sparklers you were wearing. It was so fun to meet up!

Junebug - I'm hopeful that we'll finally get some sun this weekend and that I can get a few more shots. I'll work on getting some from futher away for you.

She looks good alone, but loves her friends and has a few new ones coming. I picked up one of Circe's micro french cut bands and just bought a "mystery" eternity band on ebay. I'm not sure if the stones are french cuts or single cuts - it will be exciting to see.
