New Channel Bag and Wallet

Bought these 2 little pretties on my recent NYC trip. Couldn''t decide what to buy, but thought I might as well get a classic.
We were in Bloomingdales and hubby said have fun, get what you want. The wallet was his idea! I have a large Chanel
drawstring bag that I use everyday, but this one will be for special occasions. After I bought it, I learned about the
Channel 2.55 reissue bag. Those numbers are special to me, I was born 2/55 (yeah, I''m ancient!) Anyway, I knew the 2.55
reissue bag was similar to the bag I bought, but not sure if it was the same bag. After some research I don''t think it is.
The 2.55 was reissued in 2005. But I still love this one.

I "think" I saw that one. The clasp/lock on the 2.55 is like the one you linked to. It is a rectangle shape, not like the interlocking "c''s" on the Flap Bag.

I wonder how difficult it is to buy a reissue, 3 yrs. later?

Not any heavier than the drawstring Chanel I carry, actually lighter but it does have a touch of weight to it.
Kinda like that, should help keep it on my shoulder.

Ha,Ha. No, but if I had, I''m sure I would have paid a wee bit less!

I still cannot believe I typed Channel instead of Chanel. So much has been
going on at my house with hurricane issues, I was on the phone with our
insurance adjuster, while typing the first post. Trying to do too much
at one time... (and the boxes were right in front of me, talk about stupid!!)

I''m treating the wallet with tender loving care. I''m so afraid I''ll scratch up the leather
with something else in my bag. My old Chanel bag is a bottomless pit, I can never find
anything in there! It''s not messy, but everything just goes to the bottom.

I know that the 2.55 are repeated every season. I saw them at my local Neiman Marcus last night (they had black and grey ones on the shelf).
