We have a full size mattress the we have only had for 3 years and spent alot of money on it. We love it too but we want a new bed set. We will be staying in our apt for a few more years to save for a house. The question is can we buy a queen size bed frame and use the full size mattress ? This way we can still use it when we move and have more space. how would it look ? does the sound crazy ?

Many frames can accommodate a full size or a queen, but they''re actually slide together or apart for the appropriate size. So, it would still LOOK like a full size.

If you just want a queen size headboard, I think you might be alright. A full mattress is 54"x75", a queen is 60"x80". So the width of the mattress would probably look fine. You''ll have to see if the length looks way too short if you go with a footboard.

The frame is cheap and can be replaced later if you just want the queen size headboard now.
