Nice general tips on what to do before selling name brand jewelry back into the secondary market. Doing your own research on the item even before you visit the first buyer is a great idea. In order to get a to a best price range you need to not only see a good buyer, but you'll need to understand when to say "yes" to a fair offer. There is competition to buy a lot of name brand items, but not every item is equally in demand. Some items won't bring much more that non-branded, but there are many which do command various ranges of premiums over non-branded items. There are no fixed percentages. Some brands and certain types of still in fashion items, enjoy far more demand then others. Prices vary accordingly.

If you go to a average pawn shop without a good idea of the retail market value and are unprepared to ask a reasonable and fair dealer price, then you will not get an offer that is going to work. Once you do have some idea of what is a fair asking price, you will find many buyers, mostly in larger urban locations, who will try hard to pay a competitive price. The learning element is on the seller to do first.
