Hey guys,
I''m trying to plan a bachelor party for Iceland since it''s a place Ive'' always wanted to go. I hear that the views are spectacular, the people are very friendly and there are a lot of activities to do. I''m not one for the traditional Strip Club overdone bachelor party. I''d like to have a real trip with real experiences to look back on.

Does anyone here have any knowledge of a good travel agency or site to book a package deal from? Likewise, doesn anyone have any thoughts on going to Iceland?

Thanks,

Hi There,

I've been to Iceland and think it's a great destination (for any reason)! I was only there for three days myself and thought is was fabulous. I was there solo and was ending up a trip to Norway (Iceland Air allowed (maybe still does) free stopovers in Iceland if you fly IcelandAir to other European destinations). Iceland Air promotes most tourism in Iceland. In fact, tourism in Iceland was virtually non-existent prior to Iceland Air. http://www.icelandair.com/ They have a variety of packages on their site. I would tend to book everything on my own though. I like to find my own accomodations and what-not.

I did one of these off-roading tours, which was a lot of fun, and really makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere! I don't recall the company I used though.http://www.natureexplorer.is/daytours/super-jeep-photos/

I also went on a 1/2 day horseback riding trip: http://ishestar.customers3.travelize.se/index.asp , which I would also recommend.

I never stepped into a bar my entire time there, but from what I recall people stay out until 5 or 6 in the morning. I could, however, recommend a very yummy and inexpensive vegetarian restaurant. I'd have to do some looking around to track down the name of it, though.

Are you flying from the US? East coast? If yes, it's a very easy trip!

May I ask where you are going on your honeymoon? If Iceland is your BP, then I have to wonder where your HM will be!

A friend of mine was there a couple of years ago and loved the hot springs. Said Iceland (on the whole) was expensive, but gorgeous. I asked him, before he left, to visit the Icelandic Phallological Museum in Reykjavík (and get me a keychain) but he refused.
