Haha, Lookingood, I read your first post really fast and somehow totally missed the "If" so I read it as "my husband purchased this!!!!...this is it a dream come true!"

I was like, "OH MY GOODNESS WHAT A LUCKY LADY." I think my heart stopped.

Diamondfan, can I borrow your husband and tell him abou the diamond dreams I have?

Crown, you can, but I think he has gone selectively deaf if the words diamond or jewelry are mentioned! I still notice and love bling so I know he rolls his eyes sometimes, but hey, a girl''s gotta do what a girl''s gotta do! It worked for me a couple times...

Pear is one cut I just don''t think looks quite right in such a large size. The difference between the crushed glass type tip faceting and the stretched out wide chunky facets in the base: disconcerting.

I guess I''m just a symmetry nutso.

Deco, you could always have it cut down right? I mean, we could probably cut that into a few rounds and still have some pretty nice sized stones yes?

True ... but I couldn''t do it ... PEEEE-lenty of folks would go crazy for it as is ... quite a natural wonder in that size.

If I was deathly allergic to a new puppy .. I''d find it a good, loving home ... not draw up plans for fur collar.

Eeek! I wouldn''t turn any puppy into a fur collar either! I would totaly keep the pear as it is. However, if given a 12 carat princess, I might think about making it a radiant.
