Eternity band for cushion engagement ring

Hello everyone, it's been quite a few years since I was here! I have an absolutely gorgeous cushion from ERD, with a knife edge micropave band. My wedding ring is a plain knife-edge platinum band. I was going to wait until 10 years to get a diamond anniversary band to add to or replace my wedding band but I'm starting to think I'll do it this year (hey, it's been nine!)

I've been considering a French cut diamond eternity ring instead of round. Any opinions? What total carat weight would I be looking at to go nicely with a 1.7 carat diamond? Anyone know the general price range?

French cut eternity bands are gorgeous, but expensive. Singlestone, Erika Winters and CvB all make bands with FCs, you can check Singlestone's website or CvB's Etsy store for pricing. You might luck out finding a vintage/antique one in your size on Ebay or Etsy.
