I am looking for an oval in this general range of size/price. Would love to hear any thoughts on this one based on JA video! Strongly considering going ahead and buying it so I can see it in person.. Thanks for any help! :)

I think its a pretty nice looking stone...as it turns you can see more facets coming into focus. Over 7mm so also a good size..

There are a lot of nice ones in your price/specs but they sort of have a different feel (larger facets). I'll post some of the other
ones but like I said they have a different feel than the one you are looking at (and I like the one you have picked but just for
comparisons sake). These are all over 7mm.

Here is one very similar to the one you are looking at (worth considering if you have a tight budget)

Larger facets...

What setting are you planning on going with?

Oh wow thanks so much for all these suggestions!
While I am color sensitive, this one really just stands out to me of the ones you posted as being gorgeous! https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/oval-cut/0.70-carat-f-color-vs1-clarity-sku-2152422
It's so hard to tell what they're going to look like in real life!

I am going with this setting: https://www.tacori.com/46-2rd65

Positively fell in love with it and after months of looking at similar settings, this exquisite design keeps standing out to me.
My ring size is 4.75 and I'm considering pairing it with a straight pave band (but not sure yet).

Thanks so much for suggestions! I may just ask to get the one I posted and the F one above in to look at!

That would be perfect if you could check them both out in person. They are both nice stones with a little bit different feel.
Seems like we have been getting a lot of request for ovals lately. I've always liked ovals for their romantic feel...of course
you cant beat the light return of a round stone but round stones just dont cut it for everyone. Well, when you do decide, come
back and post pictures...I'm sure its going to be lovely!

Went and looked at the initial diamond I posted. I think it's lovely! I was surprised however that the video on JA definitely doesn't (in my opinion) show a fair representation of show the bow tie looks in person. But perhaps that's because they have it rotating on a surface in such a way that it makes it really dofficult to see your shadow in the bow tie (ifthat makes sense lol)
Anyhow, it has a visible bow tie but it reflects a lot of beautiful light above and below the shadow if not right across it at times, and lots of pretty colors and facets right there in the "bow tie" area. If possible, I think I may have found the elusive "attractive bow tie" That actually enhances the diamond that I've heard so much about! I'm so close to saying yes!
I took a few shots of it but having trouble getting them to upload
I'll have to try again later!

When we talk about bow-ties there are different levels of good and bad...unfortunately we arent all speaking the same language
when we talk about them.

1) No distinguishable bow-tie...either a 4 main or maybe a 6/8 main that is cut so nicely that the center looks more like a round
brilliant with the arrows stretching out to the long ends (rarely find these). 4 mains are not hard to find but I prefer the round
brilliant look (its a matter of taste I guess).
2) Bow-tie that has larger facets in the middle then feathers nicely to smaller facets...facets turn off and on nicely as stone rotates
3) Bow-tie that has larger facets in the middle that quickly run/turn into mush when the stone is turned. large facets may turn off/on
nicely but mushy area will stay grayish/yellowish/brownish.
4) Bow-tie has large dark faceting through the center that stays dark

You want to stick to 1 or 2.

Please do post some pictures when you can!
