I just had these made and am wondering if I made a mistake. Engagement ring center stone is 1.2 ct and I chose 12 pointers for the side stones and the 7-stone matching band. Should I have gone with 10 or 8 pointers instead? Do the 12 pointers drown out my center stone?
Re: Do the 12 point side stones overpower my 1.2 Ct solitare
That is totally a matter of individual taste. Your rings look very pretty! I will say that around here, many believe that a shank that is smaller makes the center stone stand out more or appear larger. But again, it's what you like best that matters!

It is beautifilul as is, but I would be curious to see if a plain band balances out the look. That might
balance out the size of the bling wall and make your center stone appear as the star.

Your rings are both beautiful! My eyes do see a lot of bling, and it's a little hard to make out (in the face on pic) where the ering main diamond is, but that's because it's all so well-matched in color, I think.

This, or perhaps consider a thin, plain spacer between the two rings ... it might help add a little contrast to let the ering main diamond stand out a bit more.

Thank you all for the feedback.
I'm also wondering about the way the jeweler oriented the prongs. 99.9% of 6-prong rings I've seen have the prongs at 12, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10. I'm wondering if I have the head rotated so that 2 of the prongs are at 12 and 6, will it make the center stone look slightly larger.
