Adding small diamonds to pendant

Hi, I have a triangular yellow gold pendant with an opal center. I would like to add 3-4 very small diamonds on two of the sides of the triangle. What is the best way to do this - buy the diamonds (on ebay, for example) loose, or buy a second hand ring that I can use the diamonds from.............. I am looking to do it on a budget! Thanks for suggestions.

Have the jeweler who is doing the work source the stones. Just a few tiny stones won't cost much.

I have a 14k gold custom made pendant. I wanted to add two more diamonds to it. One diamond was 5.5 and one is 3.3. The cost to add those was $309.00. I hope it is less for adding diamonds to your pendant.
