Here’s two slightly better photos of mine under different lighting. Very hard to capture the colour that I see in “real life”, but that’s emeralds.

Just posted mine in another thread asking about the window in my ring stone. Glad to hear color trumps (certain) cutting issues.

Can they be sent to a lab while set to determine treatment, origin? IMG_5766.JPG IMG_5767.jpg IMG_5768.jpg IMG_5769.JPG IMG_5770.JPG IMG_5771.JPG

Here are my Muzo emeralds.
I bought them from my Columbian hair dresser, who bought them in Cartagena.
They were loose stones and I had them set in 14k.

It certainly is hard to photograph emeralds! The color just never looks the same as in real life.
You can take ten photos and get ten different shades of green.
Ringo, these are gorgeous!

Wow, so pretty! You're right about photographing them. They change color and texture.

3AFAA443-3943-4351-A0B7-9682FC9CF903.png I have no plans to set this one but it’s a very interesting one. It’s tricolour and very rare I’ve been told. So thought I’d share. Would love to hear what you all think!

Ooooo! Minous! How beautiful! :cheeky: :cheeky:    Gorgeous!

Freke- This one is actually from Somalia, from Dana at Mastercut. It glows like crazy. It has a blueish green color, which I, personally, prefer.

I'll play! I'm just starting to dabble in the CS forum and haven't shown off any of the pieces I have yet. This is my 1.7 ct emerald from the Colombian muzo mine! Emeralds are so hard to photograph but some of the pics do show the velvety look it has but the last photo doesn't show the color accurately.

Cant imagine how I missed this and I'm two years late, but thats really beautiful. I love the vibrant colour and the strong elegant setting.

I have no budget for emeralds right now but I've thoroughly enjoyed looking at everyone's lovely pieces and actually just bought a lab created stone just to get a taste of it. I love it so much which actually makes me want to find a nice natural stone one day, in the meantime I'm gonna set my synthetic stone in a lovely setting and live vicariously :mrgreen2:

I don't have a budget for emeralds just yet either. I feel I would have to compromise on too much as far as color, clarity, size especially. I have found one that is .45ct and the picture looks like it has a nice glow. I understand emeralds are very difficult to photograph but the color and shape (emerald cut, my favorite shape!) are appealing to me and I keep going back to it. It would be my most expensive gemstone but I might get it just to test the waters of emeralds. I think green might be my favorite color for gemstones as about 1/3 of my collection is some shade of green!

Thank you. I am wearing it right now. I enjoy it

What is the length of the chain? I know it’s not easy to take neck shots, but that emerald sure deserves more pictures!

I love the length! That’s the perfect size circle to go with the vertical drop. You’re lucky to have such a beautiful model!

This is an untreated emerald and diamond antique bracelet my MIL gave to me. Took some hand shots for the antique forum and thought I would post here as well. My hand shots are all pretty awkward and it’s cloudy out and the bracelet is maybe too big..:.this modeling stuff is harder than I thought lol! 76A62651-0034-4262-8AB9-267B8C108243.jpeg DBE6D78C-E8D2-423A-A615-EA050B638612.jpeg 0D90891D-612C-448F-A7BA-E926725CA58B.jpeg B1FF9CEB-029B-4C87-897D-8D8F21D441D8.jpeg

@diamondsareagirls I'll admit I haven't seen many emerald bracelets, but yours is the most beautiful I've seen!

I never fancied emeralds. Until I saw your bracelet!
