Size of stud for a man?

What is from a ladies perspective, a good size of stud for a man to wear? From what I've been reading, most say the small kind, but what size is a small kind?

I think you should try some on for size and see what looks good on you. It often depends on the size of your earlobe and where your piercing is located.

Lewis Hamilton pulls off his pair of large diamond studs extremely well , so I think anything goes!
