I placed an order for a pair of 9-10mm white south sea earring studs from Pearl Paradise, and asked to see the loose pearl options first. I got a photo of 3 pairs from PP, and quickly ruled out the pair in the middle (#2) due to luster, but cannot decide between the pairs at the top (#1) and at the bottom (#3)...please help!

Pair #1: silver/rose overtone, not too pink, both are 9mm.
Pair #3: silver overtone with hint of rose, left pearl is 9.4mm, right pearl 9.1mm.

#3 has a sharper luster than #1, but it has a small mismatch in size. Would that appear obvious in real life?

I think both pairs are gorgeous. If you were to place them side by side, you may notice a size discrepancy because you know they're not the same size. However, I think when they are on your earlobes separated by your head, the size difference will be completely unnoticeable.

I like the color of pair 1 better.

I also like pair 1 the best in colour. I don't think the size difference would be obvious if you go for the slightly larger pair, though. Pair 3 is also very nice.

Take 1. Of you're lucky enough to be offered rose overtone grab them.

I liked pair 1 best. And this was before I checked the other responses. ;))

Thank you all for the replies!

So far it seems pair #1 gets unanimous vote. :) I've been hesitating because I am kind of drawn to the strong luster of #3...

I'd ask for a couple of shots of just the two pairs you like. Perhaps in different lighting. That may help you decide.

I tend toward more warmer tones, so I would opt for pair #3. You can't go wrong with any of them, though.

1 calls me, but I'm a cool toned girl.

One for me too, it is so much easier to choose pearls for someone else.

Thank you so much, everyone! I finally made up my mind and told PP to go ahead with the 1st pair.

I agree! I believe the silver/rose overtone is considered the most desirable. I can't wait to see ear shots.

#3 warm, seem luster better
#1 cool tone, luster is good too?

but i think they shld provide more n better pics
doesnt matter because yr ears r far from one another
plus might have diff ear lobes size/thickness
pair the smaller pearl with the smaller ear lobes
r they exp?
