It looks uncomfortable. I've seen similar style rings, because they seem to be becoming more popular, but I don't know that this was a particularly good execution of the style. Singlestone on Mission Street seems to carry a lot of quirkier designers, a few of which make stuff that is similar:

Wellllllll.....it's not really to my taste, but it could be kind of cool on the right person. Obviously your friend likes it and that's what's important .....she does like it doesn't she?

There was a handshot, but it was removed - IMO it didn't look that great on the hand, it took up a lot of space on the finger(it was the ring finger).
