Been looking for a Wok with cover, started with this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003L0ZODE/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but after 1 time use and the stain wouldn't wash off. I returned it and bought this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009MAPAW2/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 because people were talking about ceramic non-sticky coating is safer than the regular kind. But had it for only few weeks and the coating is scratched already.
Now I have been looking at either http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/cuisinart-green-gourmet-ceramic-12-stir-fry?ID=433738&CategoryID=7552#fn=sp%3D1%26spc%3D45%26kws%3Dwok%26slotId%3D4 or http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/calphalon-unison-nonstick-13-sear-flat-bottom-wok?ID=381164&CategoryID=7552&LinkType=#fn=BRAND%3DCalphalon%26sp%3D1%26spc%3D169%26ruleId%3D58%26slotId%3D35 but if anybody have good experience with other woks I'm opening for suggestions as well.
Thank you =)

I have a stainless steel wok that I bought at Ikea. I think it was about $30.00. It cleaned up well with stainless steel cleaner. I haven't been happy with the non stick stuff that is labeled "green". I tried a skillet and it was awful. I think metal without a coating is best for stir-frying. It heats up hotter. Any kind of teflon would be a bad idea since it emits toxic fumes if it is heated above a 350-400 degrees. I believe teflon is banned after 2015.

I found a picture of it. It was 24.99. Well worth it, in my opinion.

The description of this says its aluminum, but mine is stainless. When I went to the store, they had both. I am not a fan of aluminum either. But it does look like the picture, and I am sure that the price was close.

Good timing, made sticky Mongolian beef for dinner :lickout:
We have 3, the All-Clad 14" Stainless steel wok, got it as a gift, very pretty but hard to clean and way too heavy for me to maneuver.

I keep our Calphalon Unison Sear 13" on the stove since we cook Asian twice a week. The interior is rough but n--o-t-h-i-n-g sticks to it, extremely easy to clean, large enough to make fried rice for 12, can take high BTU [open flame outdoors], bought it 4 years ago, still no regrets!
Then we have our old Joyce Chen 14" carbon steel wok, I think I paid $29? Once you season it, is good to go for a long while. Heats quickly and handles stay cool, large enough to steam a whole fish. Not fancy, can rust, not the best looking wok out there, but can take DH's abuse.

Thank you for all the inputs. I do want a low maintance one. Am a little worried about buy stainless steel since didn't have a good experience with it the first time. Now with good reviews on the Unison sear, I'm considering getting that instead.

Teflon is not banned just the chemical called PFOA. I guess it will remain to be seen what happens to teflon as we know it today. Regardless, I wouldn't use it.
