The hubby and I did what we wanted instead of the kids and everyone else:
Homemade chicken soup
Green salad with chickpeas, spicy nuts/seeds, avocado and miso dressing
Homemade quinoa biscuits
apple crumble with vanilla yogourt
If we didn't have kids, we would have packed a sandwich, thermos of coffee and headed to the local mountain.
