I personally would, especially if your affair is more formal than not. :)) Lovely dress, by the way!!

I would add the panel, only because I'd need undergarment support for the girls, and that would show.

I would add one, but only because I could imagine the corset ties cutting into my back, either unattractively or uncomfortably...or both!

I am probably getting cups sewn into the dress so this shouldn't be an issue.

If youre not going to need a bra, I wouldn't. I like the look that the corset has. It's sexy, but not obvious or scandalous looking.

Hmm......yea I would add one personally. I don't like corset backs myself but I do prefer the look with a modesty panel because without to me it kind of looks like the dress dosnt fit.

However, I get the feeling that you would prefer to go without one but are feeling the pressure of conventionalism?

I think dresses usually look better with but the dress did not originally come with one? I am sure it would be easy to add though I just want to make sure it looks 'right' with the dress?

I would wear the modesty panel. Also, just an FYI, if you want to tuck those strings inside, you can. A lot of our customers don't know that.

I think a flesh colored modesty panel is okay, but I think it would look much prettier if you put in a modesty panel made of lace or even a semi-sheer georgette. That way, it looks like it was done on purpose and not that the dress did not fit.

I completely agree that a modesty panel is a good idea!

And expanding on what OU mentioned about the ties, I think they are meant to be tucked in. Though I realize its a PITA to tuck them in and then dig them out when you're just trying on in the store to buy it or for a fitting.

yes I think a semi-sheer would look good...I just think it would look weird to have a lace dress and a big satin panel in the back! I also think I will make the laces a slightly thicker ribbon.

also OU and Clair, yes, definitely tucking in the strings, that was just me trying on the dress in the store.

You're getting married at the end of May (just checked the BWW list), I feel that if it were in the heart of autumn or winter, a modesty panel would make sense, but the time of year you've chosen makes it more "acceptable" to be without it.
Definitely love the thought of a semi-sheer or lace, though!

I had one and I couldn't imagine not using it. Definitely tuck the ties in. It has a cleaner look.
