Hi all,

First time poster on this site after reading/researching for sometime!

I have settled on purchasing my girlfriend's engagement ring and diamond from Whiteflash after hearing positive reviews.

The diamond I will be purchasing will be around .8 carat. I would appreciate some feedback and thoughts on which setting I should choose out of the following:

http://www.whiteflash.com/engagement-rings/solitaire/contemporary-tiffany-style-solitaire-engagement-ring-1415.htm
http://www.whiteflash.com/engagement-rings/solitaire/classic-tiffany-style-knife-edge-solitaire-engagement-ring-734.htm

Look forward to people's thoughts and advice!

Cheers,

Steve.

I prefer the contemporary because I like the thinner band at the top and I am not a fan of knife-edge.

Well, for the sake of presenting two viewpoints, I will say that since the original Tiffany setting has the knife edge, I'd go with that one. But if your gf is not familiar with the Tiffany ring, it really won't matter which you choose!

I think they are both very nice... just to throw my 2 cents in tho... i know a lot of people go with the 6 prong setting with round diamonds, but I have seen them set with 4 prongs and personally I feel like it makes you focus more on the diamond and isnt so "prongy"

Just a thought....... good luck

I like the Contemporary Tiffany unless, like DiamondSeeker stated, she wants something close to the true Tiffany solitaire.

I like the knife edge, primarily b/c that is what is on the Tiffany version and I just adore the original!

I like the look of both - but I myself don't find knife-edge settings comfortable on my finger and so would not select a knife-edge for a ring meant to be worn every day.
