Aww thank you so much for your kind words! I figured I'd show you the unfinished wooden ring. I thought when I saw him whittling (more like trying to drill a hole in the top of the stick with his knife) that he might be making a ring but brushed it off because I didn't think it would happen on our trip. Here they are!

The one she has now is very similar to yours with fishtail prongs. Would you mind guiding us to the jeweler your husband went to? I'm hoping you may have the answer we have been looking for! You might want to post on Rocky Talky for advice on antique reproductions, but I can say 23rd Street, SN Queens and Single Stone are all excellent antique reproduction specialists.
