Does anyone have any experience with colored stones from blue nile? I want to get myself a nice every day necklace and I am having a hard time choosing between their amethyst and blue topaz, and also between the 8mm cushion pendant and the 7mm bezel pendant.

Opinions? :)

Thanks!

I have the little heart garnet from BN and I love it. One of the great things about BN is that you get instant gratification. If I were to pick from the ones you posted, I'd go with the cushion blue topaz. I love that setting.

I cant find anywhere where they say "natural" amethyst. that s a lot of money for four dollars of metal and a ten cent stone. I have seen Daniel M pendants much nicer and better value

Thank you! This was exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for. I'm working with DanielM right now on a bezel pendant for my FMIL and I had him do two rings for my mom and me earlier this year, so I have no problem working with him again.

I'd go to Daniel M for sure, and I'd probably source my own stone to ensure that its non-irridiated, though those are often lighter in tone.

I contacted Daniel M and he's going to make me one similar to the cushion. The price is going to be about double, but I'm sure it's worth it. Now off to look for stones :)

Thanks everyone!
