There is an ad in pg 34 of the Heral Sun Newspaper, Melbourne, Australia, advertising the sale of GIA equivalent "D" colour cultured diamonds of 1 to 6 ct to the public for very, very reasonable prices. These S1MONE cultured-diamonds are on sale at the Crown Casino, Crown Towers Hotel, Drawing Room, Level 3 on 15,16, 17 & 18 Oct. 04 and personal shoppers only. Any opinions out there that these stones can possibly exist, and in such commercial quantities??

If they say "GIA equivalent", consider them to NOT be GIA certified. Anyone who needs to use a reputable lab in an "equivalent" nust not have them certified reputably and already loses credit with me. Anyone who wants to offer the public such goods without there being a "catch" is either into serious charity work, or is a scam.

And what is their definition of "lab created"?

If you need to pay to get in or see the stones, run.

Anyone who uses the phrase "GIA equivalent" in their advertising is already attempting to be deceptive. A smart person would run from a business that uses deceptive practices. If they attempt to mislead unsuspecting people in their advertising they will try other things to take advantage of people who come to buy or look.
