How to interpret mm measurements on a cert?

Let's take a GIA cert for a cushion. The one I'm looking at says: "Measurements.........8.38 x 7.38 x 4.95 mm".

I assume this means the stone is 8.38mm long and 7.38mm wide (and 4.95mm deep).

Is this correct?
