actually, US weekly is infamous for getting stuff like this wrong. i don't believe that the ring pictured there is in fact ashley judd's ring. compare it to the ring modeled after hers and the admittedly blurry picture of her actual ring, both posted above. at the very least the setting is way off, and also the cetner stone is about 6 carats, not 2. plus the center stone pictured there looks more like a radiant or a princess, not a cushion.




inaccuracies aside, though, that's a fun article.

I just went there, during lunch, to check out their jewelry. The owner did seem great. Tried on a 2.5mm pave engagement ring (setting, cz center stone) and LOVED it. I think the setting $2,200. The Michael B one I love is 2mm, $3.200, I think.

pete: morticia is right, the site is www.estatediamondjewelry.com. if you were asking about the ring that i posted, as opposed to the one that morticia posted, the ring is unfortunately sold. it had a 5.03 c cushion stone in it, though. GAWgeous.

i love that one. you're right, i believe it is in the $3k range. is that do-able? of course, for the same money i bet you could get a non-designer three-sided pave ring instead of just the one-sided. /idealbb/images/smilies/love.gif i originally wanted a setting from MB's trois collection (below) for my cushion, but the setting was almost $7k for only one side of pave. (nuts!) i decided that i really preferred the three-sided look, and when i figured out that i could get leon to make me a substantially more intricate version for a lot less $$$$, that really did it for me. /idealbb/images/smilies/9.gif
