I''m really leaning toward tiny double claw prongs for a 1.46 carat round but would love to see pictures of single, double and split/grooved claw prongs on a center stone of that size. Thank you!!

Here is my original ring with double prongs. They were "clawlike"..but unfortunately, they had been shaved down too narrow (too look delicate), and one prong broke off 2 days after receiving the ring. The head had to be replaced, only this time, the prongs looked much bulkier...turned out terribly!! Decided to go with 4 basic prongs, looked much better than split prongs. My diamond is 1.76 , and I found from the side, the head (double prongs) covered too much of the diamond..there was alot of gold there. I almost felt like the diamond needed to be a bit larger to go with the split prongs!
