I think I jumped on in May of last year in the 120s, and now I'm at 17.

It FLIES at first, and then slows down a lot once you hit the 30s or so.

I should go find out when I joined the list exactly....

ETA: I joined at number 116, on June 3 of last year.

but i love how you also use the "cracker jack" ring imagery to describe ugly rings! i mentioned that to my FF and he was like, what''s a crack jack ring box.

Squirrly: maybe! i''ve been telling him about my dreams, and im pretty sure for his sake he wouldn''t hold onto it if he already had it, so i''m hoping he will ask soon!

lol well it just might be shorter than intended. SO''s off to school a little sooner than expected (he was told he wouldn''t be sent til january, now it''s the beginning of next month

) so we probably can''t see each other on july fourth. might not be til december, unless he gets to go to the ball in october. so i get to see him in two weeks, so just maybe

Yesterday we ran into a couple who we are friends with. She was wearing an ering on a chain around her neck.. ring is from alvin''s jewelers (compares to kay or zales for you non-ohioans). She doesn''t know any stats. Neither does he. Never even HEARD of the four c''s. my guess is the stone is .25 carats or less, non-certified RB solitaire. I1 or I2 clarity. He hasn''t asked her to marry him yet, but she is very impatient and a gf-zilla (??) so she made him give her the ring ahead of time.
Today: Went over bfs parents to see his mom for mothers day and got to hear all about bf''s cousins wedding plans (they''ve been dating for 3 months, getting married sept. 5th).
Got home from his rents house, went on myspace and found out another friend of mine just got engaged today (which is kinda sweet b/c he proposed on mothers day.. they just had a baby and so it''s her first mday). Her ring is from Kay. (she doesn''t know anything about the four c''s either.). The center stone looks like it''s maybe .2 carat RB with two smaller diamonds on either side. there are three other channel-set diamonds on either side. Clarity I1/I2.

Don''t get me wrong, I''m happy these girls are all happy. but I can''t wait until it''s my turn!

And no. I''m not usually this selfish or this impatient.

Add me to the list....I think! My boyfriend and I have agreed to get married, but he hasn''t officially asked me yet even though we want to get married October 10 of this year. He does have a ring though. I''m kind of frustrated because he told me to refer to him as my fiance in some communication with someone who doesn''t know us (to explain how we are related), yet he doesn''t want to announce anything to our family and friends yet. We are having our friends over for a BBQ on Sunday however, and he suggested making an announcement then. I told him I don''t want to announce anything until it is official and he asks me. He said he knew.

So what does all of this mean? Is he going to ask me in the next week or what?!?!? Kind of going crazy here!

In news on my engagement front, bf has been carrying the ring around all week trying to find time to take it in to be appraised. I offered to take him over lunch (we carpool to work), but he wants to do it all by himself...I''m thinking that him really wanting to get the ring appraised and insured is a good sign, especially since my parents will be in town this weekend. Maybe it''s coming sooner than I thought??????

Anyhow, enough about me...
