The wedding is already planned for the end of October, and the ring is at the jeweler waiting to be picked up. I have no idea how he plans or when he plans to propose, but he knows the STD''s have to go out by the beginning of March.

I''m not sure yet, but I may have to bow out here soon and give the girls who really have a chance of getting an engagement ring an opportunity to get higher on the list. Aww, honey, that sounds awful. I can hear your heart breaking through your words. I am sorry things aren''t turning out the way you want them to, but you must take care of yourself and do what you think is best. If you think things can still be salvaged then maybe you should stay--otherwise it sounds like you just have to let this sink in enough to make you realize things aren''t going to improve and that you need to walk. *hugs* I am so sorry.

Find a guy who chooses you. I've dated your boyfriend's 'type' twice. Guess I didn't learn the first time but they don't start out like that. The reality is, they end up like that and you have to let go of the idea of who you thought he Was and accept who he Is. These are his choices, his decisions. Find a guy who chooses you. Life is much more enjoyable that way.

Cosmo, I was married to a man like this! If he has constantly chosen alcohol over you, do yourself a favor and walk now before you find yourself alone with a few children. My ex chose alcohol and my alleged best friend over me and his children. He walked out three weeks after the baby was born, after I confronted him about cheating (gut instincts ladies...don''t ignore them!). He had a history of drinking, cheating, and always looking over the fence. I should have trusted my instincts and not married him, but we already had a daughter together, so I tried to do the right thing. Plus, I loved him from a very young age.

It is not easy, I can attest to that. (((BIG HUG!)))
